Plugins Glorious Plugins!

I’m looking at my plugin page and thinking to myself… hum… I wonder if I have too many. Just how many plugins do you guys have?  Right now I have 13 plugins, including the ones that came with wordpress’ installation.

I will probably be deleting two of them soon since they no longer have a purpose. As you can see the fan fiction page is gone. I removed it because of a new site I’m working on that will host the fanfics in a better way.

You can see it at ‘Flying Without Wings‘ (http://fww.panikku.com/). The site isn’t completely finished because I still have to add a few more fanfics and chapters, not to mention more anime music videos. That is the biggest thing about this new site of mine. You can view all the anime music videos that both my sister and I make. Check it out and let us know what you think about the videos and fanfics on the comments. <3

Also, I noticed Panikku was getting spammed even though I had Akismet on. I didn’t like that so I installed a plug-in that should get rid of the problem. However, it may cause problems to some of my other plug-ins, such as the thread comments. If you see anything fishy, please let me know and I will just take it down.

Now for the fun part, I have this posted on my LJ as well but I want to get as many opinions as possible. Since I’m definitely going to San Japan I was trying to decide who I should Cosplay. I settled on two options for now. I’m hoping I don’t change my mind again because that will be a pain.

Orihime from Bleach

Sheryl from Macross Frontier

I really love Orihime but I don’t love her outfit that much. On the other hand I love Sheryl’s outfit but I’m not that big a Macross Frontier fan. It’s a win/win situation so that is why I’m having a hard time deciding. Plus, I’m thinking about the weather… and August in Texas, Orihime’s outfit might kill me. xD The Sheryl Costume might look hot but it’s not covering me from head to toe and the jacket comes off.

So vote and let me know what you think. <3

    Bad Behavior is good for spam. It works well with Akismet. I have a lot plugins too, but I don’t even use half of them.

    Do Sheryl because it looks more complicated. If you have time, you should do Orihime too.

      Does Bad Behavior use captcha, cause I’m doing my best to stay away from having to use that. I will look into Bad Behavior if the spam free one I have now is a pain later on though. Thanks for the info!

      Yeah, I’m thinking of doing both now. Haha!

    Orihime, only because I don’t know the other character and because I’ve always preferred Orihime over Rukia (though, Rangiku pwns them both in kick-ass personality, imho). =D

    When I actively used my WP journal, I think I only had a few plugins…the only one I recall off the top of my head was Akismet…which worked wonders for me, considering I rarely got spammed. I don’t know much about any other plugin…unless we’re going to go into WordPress MU plugins, which I’ve come to familiarize myself with due to work. *stabs self*

    For comment threading, maybe you could look into http://intensedebate.com/ ? I’ve thought about using it, but never quite had the time to install it and/or test it out myself.

      Ug man, yeah Orihime pwns Rukia and Rangiku is just awesome. xD

      I like my comment threading so far, but thanks for the link . I will look into it if the comment thread I have now gives me errors. xD

    I actually think Orihime’s outfit is kind of cute in that picture. XD I’m not familiar with Macross Frontier, so my vote is going for Orihime! I use quite a bit of plug-ins too, but sometimes you have to to make sure your site is running smoothly. I counted and I have 11 plug-ins activated right now.

    I saw your photoshoot and the cosplay outfits look really cute! I couldn’t tell you and your sister apart, so your Chobits pictures were perfect.

      Yeah, Orihime is winning because most people will not know who Sheryl is, which is a disappointment but makes since because the series hasn’t been licensed in the USA yet.

      I will probably go ahead and get the Orihime costume and think about the Sheryl one if I have enough monies. xD

      Thanks! It was a lot of fun dressing up but very tiring. The people who owned the ranch were like X_X I saw two dark hard girls go in and two long blondes come out! HAHA

    I barely use any plugins. I think I only have Akismet? I’m so lazy on keeping them up to date and searching for them, lol XD;;

    I think if I was chosing, I might go for Orihime mainly because she’s more recognized and her costume looks more comfortable to be in.
