Spring End 2010

// July 2nd, 2010 // No Comments » // AniManga, Anime, Reviews

It’s about time I made my post for the end of the spring season. I’m sad that so many of my favorite titles have come to an end though. I’m also sad because the summer schedule hasn’t really shown anything to interesting. I have yet to decide on which ones I will try. Not feeling very motivated. Oh no!

Durarara

This show was awesome all the way to the end. We have one more episode to go but that one will only come out on DVD so it will be a while before we see it. I’m happy about it because they will bring in Izaya’s sisters, but I’m also nervous about it because I’m wondering how they will do one more episode. I liked how they left it open and didn’t make up their own ending to a story that is still on-going (and awesome as ever) as a light novel. I want them to actually feel like they could make a second season. They have plenty of material to use since they ended the first season at the end of volume three and there are eight volumes total. xD I really wish I could read japanese because then I would buy this authors books, all his stories sound amazing. Back to the anime though, it was done nicely and I loved the ended touches they had to make it cuter, like the Celty and Shinra part. It had me smiling like an idiot. If I’m not mistaken they had the author of the books come down and help them with the ending so even though there were some major changes, especially to Simon’s speech, it was still something the author would have wanted and not just fan service. Izaya and Shizuo fans will really be happy to know that. It took me a second to figure out how to tell someone about this story but one of the best ways is to tell them it is about some really twisted love, like really twisted love.

Such as a man loving a woman who doesn’t have a head. Another man who claims to love all humans except for one. A stalker girl who loves a man who almost killed her and he loves her back just because she looks like a head he fell in love with. A love that started young and had many heartaches when he couldn’t save her even though she had done it to herself. I could go on but you get the idea.

I really hope this gets licensed by someone who dubs this so that my mother can watch it. Either way, I will buy it if it comes to the states. XD

Spring Anime Updates

// May 17th, 2010 // No Comments » // AniManga, Anime, Reviews

If you remember from my post (Spring List 2010&Others). This is an update about what is going on with my anime watching. (like anyone cares, right?) lol This won’t be nearly as long as that last post though so no worries.

Durarara

Like I could ever give up on this series. It’s my favorite one of the year. I have already spoiled myself on a lot of the things thanks to the novels but it is still exciting to see it animated. I have officially decided that my favorite character are Izaya and Kida. I even like to pair them together because I’m a crazy fangirl like that. I’m really curious as to where the anime is planning to end this show. I’m going to be really sad when it does but I hope it can wrap it up fairly well without changing a whole lot.

Spring List 2010 & Others

// April 16th, 2010 // 4 Comments » // AniManga, Anime, Fandom, Manga, Reviews

A list of all the anime I will try and watch for the spring of 2010 (new and old), as well as what I’m still reading and watching from the previous times.  After a long break of not watching anything I’ve been on lock down with trying to complete or catch up on many anime and manga titles. Here is what I’ve been up to-

Series I Will Continue

Durarara!! (Anime)

I’m still in love with this show. I even got curious enough to read a timeline on the actual novels. A lot of shit happens! I’m curious to know just how far the anime is planning to go with it. Now that the first season is over I’m sure they are about to get into more of the crazy stuff, especially about the gangs. It was interesting hearing Izaya speaking to Simon in Russian. I forget the reason so it makes me wonder what they were talking about. I don’t hate Seiji and Namie as much as I did at first but I just can’t pair Namie with Izaya… no freaking way. I would rather Izaya be all alone than pair him with her. I’m not usually someone who picks a yaoi pairing over a het but in this case- I would rather Izaya be with Shizuo or, more to my taste, Kida or Mikado. Anyway, I’m really curious to see how this goes and how the anime will wrap it up. They did an excellent job with Baccano so I have high hopes.
