San Japan 3

// July 13th, 2010 // No Comments » // Conventions, Photography, Pictures, Trips

Back from San Japan 3 and it was a blast! I had way more fun at this con than I did at A-Kon, but that didn’t mean A-Kon was bad. I kept myself so busy during this con that it would be sleeping time before I knew it. I seriously felt like I just left for this con and now it is already over.

The hotel they had it in this time was really good! I hope they continue to do it at this hotel because the staff that worked there were good and friendly and the hotel itself was really nice. they didn’t have their TV all locked up so that we couldn’t plug in our games and DVDs (stupid, cheap Holiday Inn you guys suck!).

Since I kept myself so busy at this con I didn’t get nearly as many pictures as I got last time. However, we did do our own little private photo shoot in the Umineko dresses and I did get a few good pictures of the Masquerade which turned out to be a lot of fun.

I got to meat one of my favorite voice over actors for the dubs. Greg Ayers, him and his brother were both awesome so I made sure to get their autographs. I was just sad that I felt to sick on the night that Greg was going to DJ the rave. At least I got to see two of his panels.

Also, another girl took a few pictures of us so I can wait to see how those look once she sends me an email.

I also bought a bunch of stuff at this con but I will save that for another post. xD

You can see all the pictures on the cosplay page. I will post a few small ones here but be sure to see them bigger on the cosplay page later. xD

Cons and Cosplay?

// January 25th, 2010 // 2 Comments » // Cosplay

Well, I was thinking we would just be able to go to San Japan and that was it (again). However, the idea of going to A-Kon is coming up again. I don’t know if it will happen but it could. I thought about taking my cousin up with her offer at staying at her place if we wanted to go to a con in Dallas. That would make it a hella of a lot cheaper. XD Then they could help us drive around. HAHA!

Anyway, the Red Garden cosplay was a lot of fun but the next thing on the list is something just for me and my sister. We plan to do two witches from the series Umineko no Naku Koro Ni. I would be the former endless witch, Virgilia, and my sister would be the present endless witch, Beatrice. xD The outfits are just awesome so I’m sure it will be fun.

I already have the wigs. Click below to see. I’m going to wearing the light purple or white wig, whatever you want to call it. They did an awesome job with the Blonde with though. I could never have done something so awesome on my own. 0_0

San Japan 2.x Post 02

I had so much fun at San Japan. xD

I think the funnest day for me was Saturday because of the Bleach Photo Shoot. They were a great bunch and posed for a lot of good pictures.

On Friday we had to adjust to the way things went there. We were pretty tired by the end of the day because most of the events started 15-30 minutes late. I think they could have been a little bit more prepared but it was still lots of fun.

We went to the AMV showing but we didn’t go to the finals to see who won. Mostly because they said they would be playing all of the AMVs and again and… well, not to be really mean but OMG a lot of them sucked really bad. X_X

The raves were a lot of fun. Friday’s rave was better than Saturday’s, they started to get angry at everyone on Saturday and made a lot more rules. After the third interruption to the music we decided to leave, as did a lot of everyone else. Kind of sad how bossy they had to be for a fun time, it’s one thing to set new rules, it’s another to be nasty about it. I don’t think they should have interrupted the whole dance for the few idiots breaking the rules. The people in charge of the rave on Friday were a lot more professional. The second dance felt like we were at a high school dance. X_X

We went to the Host Club event but they were having a lot of troubles so we didn’t stay too long. Still, it was really cute and the girls that were cosplaying the Ouran Host Club were all very nice and fun. xD

Um, the rest of the time was spent resting and visiting the Dealers Room and Artist Alley.

On Saturday we went to see who won for the Cosplay events and the Ani-Idol. It was enjoyable because they had to do a lot of silly stalling while waiting on the judges. xD The Ani-Idol winners were cute but I think I’m going to sign up next time. The hardest part is learning all the lyrics in a language I don’t know, haha!

Alrighty! The part that all of you want to see, Pictures!

I’m just going to post some of my favorites here but you can see a lot more over at the cosplay page.
