Sheryl Wig

// April 23rd, 2010 // 6 Comments » // Cosplay, Informative

Since I plan to cosplay as Sheryl again for A-Kon and San Japan I needed to take out my Sheryl wig and see just how bad the damage was. I remembered it looked a little ragged when I put it away after Halloween. It was a very windy day that day so it got really frizzy and lost it’s shine.

When I took it out of the bag it was even worse than I remembered. I was wondering what I was going to do because this wig was the only one I really liked for Sheryl. The other ones I have seen on Ebay are not really to my liking. This one had the perfect balance of pink and blond. So, I decided I was going to try and clean the wig up myself. It was a lot of trail and error and at one point I thought I would never get it to work. As you can see it looks stringy and has no body, the underneath part was really frizzy and icky looking, not even having much curl left.

Skin Care 2

// February 10th, 2010 // No Comments » // Informative, Meme

You might remember this old post I wrote a long time ago about Skin Care. I wrote it after my first visit with the dermatologist. If you don’t remember you can still see the post ‘Skin Care‘. This is a follow up post. I do a lot of the same things but there are some slight differences.

I still try to wear Neutrogena Ultra Sheer, that has an SPF of AT LEAST 30 and UVA protection. Even though I don’t go outside much, just being in the car with the sun on me is enough. Plus, if it cloudy you are still getting a lot of sun, you just don’t feel it. I wear the sunscreen on my face not to keep from burning but to keep my acne from having permanent spots on my face. Plus, this works as a good moisturizer since I tend to get dry skin easily with washing it everyday.

I still use Cetaphil products to wash my body and face, however, I also use Neutrogena’s body wash only because I have a really bad time with the acne on my back from food allergies and stuff. I really love the Cetaphil products. I like the bottles soap and I adore the bar soap. It leaves me feeling super clean and soft.

I still use non-comedogenic makeup, which just means it doesn’t clog pores. I wear a Neutrogena brand called Neutrogena SkinClearing oil-free compact foundation. I put a little bit of that one, careful not to put a lot underneath my eyes.

On other days, when I feel like using a little bit more makeup, I wear Clinique Perfectly Real Makeup, which is a liquid foundation. It cost more too but it is worth it to keep from having acne.
